International Drafts & Wires

Using international drafts and wires is often the best solution for your members when making payments abroad.  Settling payables in local currency provides many advantages over using U.S. dollars, including saving time, reducing risk, giving greater cost control, and providing a competitive advantage.

Foreign Cash Letters

The Foreign Cash Letter deposit option can be used for any foreign check that is payable in the local currency of the payee bank, e.g., a Japanese Yen check drawn on a bank in Japan.  Provisional credit is expedited, in most cases within three business days.

Foreign Collection Items

Foreign collection items are comprised of checks drawn on foreign financial institutions and payable in either U.S. or foreign funds.  The time to collect varies between countries, but typically takes six to eight weeks.
